When Should You Have Branding Photos Taken?
As you’re exploring ways to market and grow your business, you keep hearing mentions of branding photography and the importance of the right brand imagery for your business. But how do you know when it’s time to make that investment for yourself? As a Seattle area branding photographer who’s a business owner myself, I absolutely love helping my clients build their brands! Here are a few telltale times when a branding photoshoot will serve you well.
When You’re Starting or Building Your Business
If you’re creating a new business or if your business is in its early stages, branding photography should be one of the first things you invest in because it can play such a vital role in your marketing from the start. You’ll need these images for your website, flyers or brochures, ads, and so much more. When you’re trying to make a great first impression for your business, professional photos that communicate your brand concisely and clearly are absolutely essential.
When You’re Rebranding
Maybe you have your business established already but you’re embarking on a rebrand because you’re taking the business in a new direction or it’s just time for a facelift. You can update your logo and all your other branding but if you’re still using headshots and branding photography that was designed for your old brand, your marketing materials won’t be doing justice to your new brand. A fresh branding photo shoot will give you the thorough and cohesive look you want for your rebranding.
When You Have New Branding or Marketing Needs
Sometimes you might have a new marketing opportunity or venture that arises, and the branding photos you have just aren’t the right fit for this particular project. Rather than trying to make it work with images you already have and ending up with something that doesn’t match your vision, or doesn’t use your investment to its full potential, this is a great reason to have a new branding photo shoot.
When You Haven’t Had Branding Photos Taken in Years
Every business’s look needs an update every so often, and if you’ve been using the same branding photos for several years, your brand might look dated or stale. You don’t have to start from scratch or throw out all your branding photos, but having some fresh headshots and branding photos taken every few years will keep your image fresh and up to date, and it shows your customers that you’re keeping up with the times instead of falling behind.
If you find your business in any of these situations, I’ve got you! Contact Jaimié Birtel Photography and let’s talk about how we can build your brand together.
